Delirium is the third studio album by English singer and songwriter Ellie Goulding; it was released on 6 November 2015, by Polydor Records. Music critics were generally impressed by the overall production of the record, although were ambivalent in regards to its originality. It debuted at number three on the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200, earning Goulding her highest-charting record in the latter country and her highest first-week sales figures in both territories.
Ellie Goulding has a handful of solid tunes on her Delirium album, but she continues the promotional run for lead single “On My Mind.”
The UK singer performed the quirky pop tune on The Ellen Degeneres Show (November 24) while showing off her cute dance moves and unique vocal tone. “On My Mind” is currently sitting at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100, so steady performances like these can give the single a boost.
Yesterday (01.11), Ellie, along with girlband Little Mix, took to the X Factor stage to kick off the first result of the live shows this series.
She treated viewers to a live performance of her new single ‘On My Mind’ and while Dougie Poynter’s girlfriend definitely gave it her all, that didn’t stop some from criticising her efforts on Twitter.
Following her performance, Ellie was subject to some harsh comments on the social media site, with many users hitting out at her live vocals.
However, Ellie hit back at the haters simply by ignoring them. While many didn’t think much of her performance that saw her dancing in front of an electric clone, others absolutely loved it. And for the record, so did Ellie.
She took to Twitter following The X Factor’s results show, tweeting: “Buzzing thank you X factor for having me #thecuriositycontinues.”
